In 1985 Diana and her husband Eddie formed the business out of their home, Diana's Boarding Home 1, ultimately becoming a 20-bed facility. Then in 2004 Diana's Boarding Home 2 was built adding another 40-bed facility and expanding the business to 60 residents. Diana's Boarding Home, Inc expanded a final time in 2017 with the completion of Diana's Boarding Home 3 in 2017, another 40-bed facility, bringing the total care for Diana's Boarding Home, Inc to 100 individuals. At the end of 2020 Diana announced her retirement and her three facilities were sold to her three oldest grandchildren. Andrea purchased Boarding Home 3, which became Annie's House in January of 2021.
Andrea grew up in the business and has worked various jobs for the homes since 2009. In 2015 Andrea started her management role when she took over management at Diana's Boarding Home 1 running the IRTS and Medical Offices. Then in 2019 Andrea transferred to Diana's Boarding Home 3 to manage the Medical Office. Andrea strives to bring the same level of care and compassion to her residents as Diana did for the past thirty years.
How did Annie's get its name?
Diana's mother used to call her "Annie" so when the business was sold and we thought the name would have to be changed, Andrea still wanted to honor Diana's legacy and name the facility after her. Diana was not going to be available, so the name Annie was put into place.
Why does your logo have a Lily and the verse Matthew 6:28 in it?
"And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:" - KJV
Lilies are unique flowers that often grow in clusters, yet each type of lily serves a different purpose for each person that needs it. Much like our residents. Though our residents live in a group setting they are each unique in their own way and serve their own purpose. Matthew 6:28 reminds us not to worry because we have a Heavenly Father who watches over us each and every day and if He will take the time to watch over the lilies imagine the time he spends watching over us.
